So here’s the thing—medical information is either so complicated you need a PhD to get through it or so oversimplified it barely tells you anything useful. And as a student in this field, I’m stuck right in the middle, trying to make sense of it all. I won’t pretend to have all the answers.
Because trust me, I don’t.
I started this blog because I have questions. A lot of questions. About health, medicine, public health, genetics, and everything in between. And if you’re here, I’m guessing you do too.
I’m Rhea, a Medical Genetics student, which basically means my days are a blur of lectures, labs, and staring at my notes, hoping they’ll make sense eventually. Some days, I feel like I understand the intricacies of human biology; other days, I google the same concept five times and still wonder if I’m in the right field.
But man do I love this field.
This blog isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about exploring, questioning, and making sense of things. Here, you’ll find :
✔️ Medical topics explained in a way that actually makes sense
✔️ Big-picture health issues—because medicine isn’t just about science, it’s about people
✔️ The reality of being a student in this field—the highs, the struggles, and everything in between
✔️ Occasional deep dives (and rants)—because healthcare is messy
I’m still figuring things out, but that’s what makes this journey interesting. If you’re someone who loves questioning, learning, or just trying to make sense of the medical world, stick around. Read, comment, debate—or just lurk (but, like, in a totally non-creepy way).
Either way, welcome to ouraayu!
